With several years experience working within the NHS in a range of specialities, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills to be able to offer a holistic and personalised approach to your health goals.
I continue to hold a position within the NHS as a Specialist Maternal Weight Management Dietitian, which helps to bolster my expertise and supports my continued development.
My journey to motherhood wasn't straightforward. Conceiving naturally wasn't an option for us and so we started down the daunting and very expensive road of assisted fertility treatments. For us, this meant in vitro fertilisation (IVF) with surgical sperm retrieval (SSR) and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The road was bumpy and painful. I discovered I have low ovarian reserve as we started treatment and our one round of IVF resulted in only two viable embryos.
I am thankful that from our first embryo came our beautiful daughter.
I came to realise just how much conflicting and confusing information there is out there around supplementation and nutrition to support the various parameters of fertility and assisted fertility treatment and it blew my mind how many people were paying hundreds and sometimes, thousands of pounds just for the possibility of improving their chances of having a baby, often with limited or no evidence.
I feel a strong obligation to use my expertise to support these people, who are often in such a vulnerable position and feel that my personal experience gives me a unique edge to support you.
I regularly complete CPD (continued professional development) and research to further my knowledge and skills and to bring you the most up to date, evidence based practice.
